Heritage Eagle Bend is a beautiful Arthur Hills/Steve Forest & Associates designed 7100 yard championship course that plays at an elevation level of 6085 feet. Highly regarded
as one of the most interesting and one of the best conditioned courses in the region, Heritage Eagle Bend meanders through an upscale residential community, yet with the
rolling landforms and distant vistas of the Colorado Rockies, presents a sense of serenity.
Rated 4 stars by Golf Digest Places to Play, this layout features a rolling terrain with ample fairways and green complexes that are well bunkered, with tall golden native grasses
often framing the perimeters. There are 62 soft sand bunkers located near the landing zones off the tee or situated greenside, and water hazards come into play on 4 holes.
Five sets of tee boxes play to distances and slopes measuring 7105 yards/132 slope, 6603 yards/130 slope, 6269 yards/128 slope, 5798 yards/115 slope for men and 134 for
women, and 5045 yards with a slope of 100 for men and 121 for ladies hitting from the front tees. The course is very playable from the 3 front sets, and presents some interesting
carries and challenges from the black and blue tee boxes.
The 4 par threes are not only challenging (ranked as the # 3, 9, 10 and 12 handicaps) but are also quite aesthetically beautiful. While water is not a dominant feature here, the
holes that do feature ponds in play are some of the prettiest on the course, with the par four 10th (pond front left of the green) particularly beautiful. The green complexes present
bunkers, mounding and swales that will challenge the short game of all players, but land on the true rolling putting surfaces in regulation and good scores can be had.
On property is a full service 35,000 square foot Colorado lodge style clubhouse with well stocked pro shop, Eagles Nest Restaurant/lounge serving breakfast (weekends), lunch
and dinner menus, plus snack bar that affords golfers with an opportunity to pick up a quick hot or cold sandwich and beverages. There also is an outdoor patio that provides
wonderful views of the 18th hole. Banquet/outing facilities can host groups of up to 300 people.
All carts are equipped with coolers and ball & club washers, and on course golfers will find sprinkler heads that are measured to the center of the green, cart paths marked at 100,
150 and 200 yards (250 on par fives), and each tee box also has yardages posted. Pin placement and green depth/width information is available on the scorecards. Practice
facilities are comprehensive, and lessons of all type from a staff of PGA professionals are available. This is a beautiful facility with great amenities and service - highly
