Colorado Golf Course Review
Legacy Ridge in Westminster is an 18-hole championship course designed by Arthur Hills, and is one of the top municipal layouts in the Denver region. The Heritage at
Westmoor is the sister course of Legacy Ridge, and presents a totally different design. For a review of the Heritage - click here. The layout at Legacy Ridge plays along a rolling
terrain along nicely conditioned fairways that lead to an interesting variety of green complexes.
The clubhouse features a pro shop, dining area/lounge and patio (breakfast, lunch and dinner are available) . There is a full scale practice facility with targeted range, short game
area with sand bunker, plus putting green.
The marking system on course includes 150 yard stakes that double as directional devices on all par fours and fives, plus sprinkler heads that are measured to the center of the
green. Cart paths are also conveniently marked at the 200, 150 and 100 areas .
This course is challenging for skilled players from the tips, and very user friendly from the mid and front tees. 5 sets of tees play to yardages and slopes measuring 7102
yards/138 slope, 6629 yards/129 slope, 6001 yards/118 slope for men and 146 for women, 5327 yards/ 111 slope for men and 134 for women, and , 2846 yards, unrated from
the family tees. With multiple tee areas, golfers of various skill levels can enjoy a round here.
Water hazards come into play in some shape or form on 8 holes, and 41 soft sand bunkers add aesthetic beauty and challenge. We highly recommend a round here! For more
